Calculate price API examples

Code examples that demonstrate how Corrily's calculate price API is commonly used.

Calculate price from server-detected IP address

const express = require('express');
const app = express();
// Any HTTPS request library that can POST should work.
const axios = require('axios');
const uuidv4 = require('uuid').v4;

app.get('/', async (request, response) => {
  const user_id = uuidv4();
  // Assuming x-forwarded-for is properly configured, this header
  // is an easy way to extract the client's IP address.
  if (!request.headers['x-forwarded-for']) {
    response.json({
      message: 'Error: X-Forwarded-For not found'
    });
    return;
  }
  const ip = request.headers['x-forwarded-for'].split(',')[0];
  const result = await axios({
    // Make sure to POST the request, not GET.
    method: 'POST',
    headers: {
      // Make sure the payload is JSON, not form encoded.
      'Content-Type': 'application/json',
      // See docs.corrily.com/setup
      api_key: 'b82fd0fa-2a1b-4226-b6c0-22884ae97f84'
    },
    data: {
      // See docs.corrily.com/setup
      products: ['monthly', 'annual'],
      ip,
      user_id
    },
    url: 'https://client.corrily.com/v1/prices'
  });
  return response.json(result.data);
});

app.listen(8080, () => {
  console.log("Go to the homepage to see Corrily's JSON response");
});

Calculate price from client's IP address

🚧

Only works with client-side languages

Corrily can only infer the IP address from the request when the request comes directly from the client device. In other words, this use case won't work with server-side languages.

const headers = new Headers();
// See docs.corrily.com/setup
headers.append('api_key', 'b82fd0fa-2a1b-4226-b6c0-22884ae97f84');
// Make sure the payload is JSON, not form encoded.
headers.append('Content-Type', 'application/json');

// https://stackoverflow.com/a/2117523
function uuidv4() {
  return ([1e7]+-1e3+-4e3+-8e3+-1e11).replace(/[018]/g, c =>
    (c ^ crypto.getRandomValues(new Uint8Array(1))[0] & 15 >> c / 4).toString(16)
  );
}

let data = {
  user_id: uuidv4(),
  get_ip_from_request: true,
  // See docs.corrily.com/setup
  products: [
    'monthly',
    'annual'
  ]
};

// Make sure the payload is JSON, not form encoded.
data = JSON.stringify(data);

const options = {
  // Make sure to POST the request, not GET.
  method: 'POST',
  headers: headers,
  body: data,
  redirect: 'follow'
};

fetch('https://client.corrily.com/v1/prices', options)
.then(response => response.json())
.then(result => console.log(result))
.catch(error => console.error(error));

Calculate price from country code
